How deepfake technology is re-animating the dead

Last week I published a piece for Dazed’s A Future World series on the way that deepfake technology is re-animating the dead.

This piece builds off some of the work I did pre-pandemic when I travelled to Seoul for the FT for a piece that looked at virtual celebrities and digital rendering technology capable of creating perfect 3D replicas of people. I turned myself into an avatar while there.
